They are very sad to announce that due to personal commitments vs. band obligations, their wooly axeman Scott Ireland, will part ways with the band in August. He plays his last show with HELM, Saturday August 6th on home turf at Miami Tavern - the first show of the Rising Tides Tour. If you're a true local fan of HELM, please make an effort to be there to give him the send off he deserves.

As a fan of Australian (or any) music, if you are comfortable with the fact that you don't give a fuck about what music you 'rip' from artists, that's fine - really. Obviously, it's 2011. Just try to justify this by turning up to that same band's gigs, maybe even buy a T-Shirt or whatever crazy shit they're selling, instead of your last 5 beers.

On Friday September 10 2010, HELM were permitted to pass through the House of Fender in Sydney whilst on Part 1 of their Great Southern Land Tour. They were welcomed with a very warm reception and during the course of the afternoon, got to try out new guitars, amps and we're also thrown a few little freebies - Stoked! The Fender crew also very willingly brought in a brand spankin' Fender Bass head and fridge for Ryza to use at their Sydney show of which he is definitely sold on! It's an animal. They signed the contracts, had a massive group hug, copped a few random feels and were then promptly kicked out of the office for bad language. LOL!
